Ready for the holiday season

We at Ecowings have been busy lately preparing for the festive end of the year period. Our workshop has been working overtime to ensure we have enough stock to meet our customers’ needs. In this blog we want to give you a look behind the scenes and show you how we prepared for the busiest time of the year.

Production in full swing

Our workshop in Indore is the beating heart of our company, and it has been extra busy here in recent months. We have worked hard to ensure that all our products are top quality and ready in time for the Christmas period. The team has worked with great passion and dedication to meet the expectations of our customers.

Here Sunita and Lakhsmi are busy cleaning all the bags one by one. Some people wonder why the women are sitting on the floor. Well, they would like that! First, they are very used to sitting cross-legged. But especially in the warm period, it is also nice and cool to sit on the ground.

New stock has arrived

One of the highlights recently was receiving our new stock. It was a moment we were eagerly awaiting, and we are happy to report that everything went according to plan. The warehouse is now filled again with the most sought-after products, ready to be shipped.

We know this is a special time of year for many of you, and we are ready to help you find a beautiful bag or accessory. Almost ready!

A new batch of backpacks is in the works. And that’s a lot of work! Every step of the production process is carefully monitored and controlled. From the moment the recycled materials are selected to the moment the finished backpacks are ready for shipment, there is no compromise on quality.

Quality check

Each backpack is handmade by skilled craftsmen who take pride in their craftsmanship and therefore do their best to deliver a beautiful product. But after that, the backpack is checked for quality in several rounds. After all, it is human to make mistakes, and it can sometimes happen that a seam is not stitched properly, or that the zipper does not close properly. We want to exclude a production error as much as possible.

New zippers

We have recently invested a lot of time in research into zippers. Since last year we use waterproof zippers made from recycled plastic. In practice it turned out that the metal of the zipper heads was not always strong enough. That is why we now use new zipper heads from the YKK brand. A nice step further towards a 100% quality product!
